Soror Mecca Z. Norman ~ Chair of the Executive Board and Secretary

California State Protocol Coordinator & Reg'l Representative to the Nat'l Convention & Special Events Committee ~

Soror Mecca Z. Norman was initiated into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in Fall 2012 through Sigma Eta Zeta Chapter in Long Beach, California. In her short time as a Zeta, she has served locally on numerous committees and held a host of positions including chapter President, Secretary, Chair of Nominations & Elections Committee, Chair of annual Sisterhood Retreat, and Chair of R.O.O.T.S. Celebration (Finer Womanhood Luncheon). As of recent, she served on the Pacific Regional Protocol Committee and the California State Corresponding Secretary, State Protocol Coordinator and established the State Communications team.


Soror Norman is a graduate of the 2017-2018 ZOL Cohort and has successfully completed the 2018 Basilei Institute. She currently serves as the Pacific Regional Representative to the National Convention and Special Events Committee. 

Professionally, Soror Norman has been in the Restaurant and Hospitality industry for over 14 years and currently works as a Senior Manager for BJs Restaurants where she heads the training, marketing, and hospitality departments. She is responsible for team member development, the implementation of special events, fundraising, local restaurant marketing events, “Taste of” community activities and service projects.

As a newlywed, Soror Norman enjoys traveling, discovering breweries, wineries and creating "firsts" with her husband, Bro. David Norman of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. ~ Kappa Delta Sigma chapter in Carson, California.

Soror Ratoya Dawson ~ Public Relations Director & Financial Secretary |

Soror Ratoya Dawson was initiated into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc in Fall 2009 through Sigma Eta Zeta Chapter in Long Beach,California. 


She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications with a Minor in Humanities from California State University, Dominguez Hills. 


From the start of her time in Zeta, she has held the position of Finance Manager and Financial Secretary and has served on the following committees: Zeta Youth Auxiliaries, R.O.O.T.S Celebration, Sisterhood Retreat and Scholarship. 


In her spare time, Soror Dawson loves spending time with her family and friends and finding new brunch spots on the weekends since she is an extreme foodie.

Soror Mosi Odom ~ Chair, R.O.O.T.S. Celebration

Soror Mosi Odom has a heart for community involvement, organizational development, and business excellence. She is a woman of excellence, purpose, and vision who ushers innovative strategy to shift and advance the individual, community, and business alike. With her education in Human Resources Management, Soror Odom has both the affinity and expertise to realign structures and resources to maximize human capital. Her multifaceted work in both the public and private sector lends her the dual ability to formulate strategy and implement plans of action expeditiously and in excellence.

The heart of every organization is the individual and Soror Odom’s compassion for people and the community inspires her to encourage and nurture those whom she supports and leads.  As a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Soror Odom’s enthusiasm for serving the community has grown through many years of service in and out of the Southern California area.

She is a loving mother of two sons and is dedicated to outpouring her talents for community and youth enrichment through mentoring, building relationships and business expansion.
