She also sponsored and facilitated Easter activities for children living in transitional housing and marched for Black Lives Matter.
From the moment of her initiation into the Sisterhood, she continued to serve on the following Sigma Eta Zeta Chapter Committees: Membership, Hospitality, Chapter Bylaws, ZHOPE, Nominations & Elections, and R.O.O.T.S. Celebration (Finer Womanhood Luncheon). In the position of leadership, she served as Co-Chair of the chapter’s annual Sisterhood Retreat and is currently serving as the chapter’s Vice-President & Membership Intake Coordinator. In the same year of joining Zeta, she expanded her service to the Sigma-Zeta Council of Southern California where she has continued to serve as the Sigma Eta Zeta Chapter Representative, on the Council Bylaws Committee, Co-Chair of Council’s Nominations & Elections Committee and as the Council’s Recording Secretary.

To build upon her ability to serve within the Sisterhood, Soror Brown has attended several State, Regional, and National leadership conferences and training programs offered through the sorority and have obtained several certifications in Membership Intake Process, Undergrad Advisor, Amicae Advisor, Zetas Helping Other People Excel (Z-HOPE), Risk Management, Zeta Organizational Leadership (ZOL) Cohort 9, and 21st Century Innovative Leadership.
